Taxi 600 takes you safely & flexibly to the ”Valley of the Mountain Huts”
From May to October, our hiking taxi will take you comfortably to the most beautiful alpine huts and pastures in the Grossarl Valley and back again. Whether you’re embarking on a sunrise hike, a family outing or an alpine tour: Taxi 600 will take you directly to your starting point and pick you up again. In winter, we are your taxi to the most beautiful natural toboggan runs in the Grossarl Valley and the surrounding area.

Grossarl Toboggan Taxi
In winter, Taxi 600 will take you comfortably to the most popular tobogganing destinations in the Grossarl Valley. We serve both the Loosbühelalm and the Lammwirt – ideal for a leisurely day of tobogganing with a bite to eat or drink. Happy sledging in the wintry Grossarl Valley!

Lammwirt Toboggan Run
- Start: 1,550 m | Finish: 1,130 m
- Difference in altitude: 420 m
- Length: 3 km
- Open daily from 1:00 to 8:00 pm
- The toboggan shuttle departs for the starting point (the Lammwirt) every hour on the hour.

“Himmelsknoten” Hiking Taxi
This journey takes you comfortably to the trailhead at Himmelsknoten – with magnificent views of the valley, it is the ideal spot for a leisurely day in the Alps.

- Departure: 9:30 am from the Grossarl Tourist Office or Panoramabahn valley station
- Return journey: approx. 4:00 pm Holzlehen car park
- Accessible mountain huts: Mooslehenalm, Niggeltalalm, Viehhausalm
“Sonneggbrücke” Hiking Taxi
A wonderful starting point for alpine hikes along the idyllic valley – perfect for families and hikers who like to take it easy.

- Departure: 9:00 am from the Grossarl Tourist Office or Panoramabahn valley station
- Return journey: approx. 3:30 pm from Sonneggbrücke

“Finsterwald” Hiking Taxi
The starting point for a challenging hike via the Himmelsleiter (Stairway to Heaven) to the Bichlalm. Here you can enjoy the Grossarl mountains away from the main trails.

- Departure: 10:15 am from the Grossarl Tourist Office or Panoramabahn valley station
- Return journey: 5:15 pm from Finsterwald
“Hallmoosalm” Hiking Taxi
Starting point for hikes to: Glettenalm, Draugsteinalmen, Tappenkarseehütten. Please note that the Hallmoosalm hut is not serviced and does not serve food or drink.
- Monday, Wednesday and Friday
- Departure: 8:30 am from the Grossarl Tourist Office or Panoramabahn valley station | 8:45 am from Hüttschlag (the designated meeting point is located in the town centre, by the information board for hikers)
- Return journey: 4:30 pm from the Hallmoosalm

Hiking Taxi – pick-up from the Aualm
The Aualm is easy to get to after challenging hikes. If you would like to avoid hiking back down into the valley in the afternoon, we will be happy to pick you up at 3:30 p.m. The following taxi transfer is scheduled daily – but must be reserved in advance.
- Return journey at 3:30 pm
- Special rate: €40 for up to 4 people | €50 for 5 people | €59 for 6 or more people
- Reservations must be made at least 1 hour before departure!
Please note: Lift operates daily except Monday during peak season | Pre- and post-season: Tuesday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday
Harbachalm/Tofernalm/Aigenalm
A wonderful hiking destination with views of Gamskarkogel and the head of the valley at Hüttschlag.

Our Tip: Sunrise Hike at the Aualm
Early in the morning, the valley is still dark and sleepy, and the air is clear and fresh. Wrapped up warm, our taxi will take you comfortably to the Aualm in Grossarl, the starting point for an unforgettable sunrise hike.
From there, the trail leads to the Liechtensteinkopf – a leisurely hike of around 140 metres in altitude, which takes about half an hour. Afterwards, a delicious breakfast awaits you at the Aualm.

Which mountain huts can be reached by hiking taxi?
Taxi 600 serves all official alpine huts in the Grossarl Valley, as well as other huts with the necessary authorisation.
How much does the hiking taxi cost?
Prices depend on the route and hut. You will be given a fixed price when you make your reservation. With your Grossarl guest card, you can travel free of charge on the four official hiking taxi routes operated by the Grossarltal Tourist Association.
When does the hiking taxi operate?
The hiking taxi is available from May to October. In winter, we drive to the natural toboggan runs at the Loosbühlalm and Lammwirt.
How can I book a hiking taxi?
Reservations can be made by telephone at any time. Please make your reservation by 8:00 pm the evening before at the latest.
Can I also book the Grossarl hiking taxi for groups?

Can I bring a pram or bicycle?
Yes, we transport prams free of charge.
We can use our bike trailer to transport three or more bicycles. The surcharge is €20 per journey – so even larger groups of cyclists can travel with us in comfort.
Are there also alpine taxi services available in Grossarl during the winter?
Yes, in winter we service the Loosbühlalm toboggan run and the Lammwirt toboggan run.
